Privacy Notice
Version 2026-10-15 · SINTELIUM
For practical advice about transactions, scams, and reporting, visit our Safety guide.
1. About us
Johny’s List is operated by Exclusive Homes LLC dba SINTELIUM, based in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, (“SINTELIUM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For privacy requests or questions, email support@johnyslist.com. This notice describes the marketplace, its optional paid features, and advertising.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide includes account email and profile details; authentication information managed by the sign-in service; listings, photos, location selections, attributes, and public contact details; saved listings; conversation participants and message content; reports; support submissions; advertiser artwork and campaign details; and policy-agreement records. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the account information made available through that authentication flow, not your Google password.
For featured upgrades, we keep order identifiers, status, listing, amount, duration, and payment references. PayPal processes payment credentials; we do not ask you to enter payment-card numbers into our own forms. Hosting, authentication, and advertising providers may process IP addresses, browser/device information, request times, cookies, and security or operational logs when their services are used.
Location targeting for uploaded ads uses the island or town selected in browsing or the listing’s location. It does not request GPS permission. Search terms appear in the URL and may therefore appear in browser history and infrastructure logs. Do not enter confidential personal information into a search or listing.
3. Public information and private communications
Active listings, photos, descriptions, prices, chosen locations, listing contact names, and phone numbers are public. Listing email addresses are public only when the seller chooses to show them. Otherwise, a generated Johny’s List email alias is displayed. Our email provider processes incoming messages and outgoing replies to operate this relay. We keep routing information, participant email addresses, delivery records, and blocking preferences; the relay hides both participants’ real email addresses from each other. Relay messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Attachments are omitted, and privacy filtering cannot prevent disclosure of personal information you include in your message or signature. Public profiles display information such as username, display name, membership date, and active listings. Search engines and other people may copy public material. Removing it from this site cannot guarantee removal of copies, cached pages, or messages already received by others.
In-app messages are shared with the conversation participants. Authorized personnel and providers may access them as reasonably needed to operate the service, investigate abuse, respond to support requests, or meet legal obligations. They are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Saved listings and nonpublic account information are not intended to be public.
4. Why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; publish and manage listings; provide search, saved listings, and messaging; process featured upgrades; deliver contextual banner campaigns; handle support and privacy requests; enforce rules and posting limits; detect or investigate fraud and abuse; and meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.
Moderation may use automated text checks and human decisions. A flag or rejection can be challenged through support. Policy acceptance records identify the account, the accepted version, and the server-recorded time; they help document the agreement.
When someone sends an in-app message, we may email the recipient a notification containing the message and listing context. Account verification, password recovery, safety, and service emails help operate the account and are separate from advertising consent. Your email provider and anyone with access to your inbox or notification previews may see this content.
Where a law requires a legal basis for processing, our purposes may rely on performing the services you request, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the marketplace where permitted, or consent for activities that require it. You can ask us which basis applies to a particular use.
6. Cookies, Google advertising, and local banners
Optional Google Analytics runs after you choose Accept cookies. It measures visits, broad traffic sources and campaign labels, and actions such as signup submissions, completed account setup, listing submissions, saves, seller-contact clicks, and messages sent (counts only). We use generalized listing URLs and do not intentionally send listing text, search terms, names, account identifiers, phone numbers, email addresses, or message content. Admin, profile, inbox, and authentication pages are excluded from page-view tracking. Successful private-page actions are temporarily queued in this browser and counted when you return to a public page within 24 hours. Sanitized campaign labels may be retained for 30 minutes in this browser tab to attribute these actions. Returning visits are measured using consented analytics cookies. Google receives ordinary network/device information and uses analytics cookies when allowed. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled in this integration. You can choose Reject optional or withdraw through Privacy choices on public pages; the preference is stored in this browser. A detected Global Privacy Control signal defaults the choice to declined unless you have made an explicit choice. Browser blocking or declining analytics means some visits and actions will not be measured.
Authentication uses cookies or browser storage to keep you signed in. Blocking necessary storage can prevent account features from working. Uploaded local banners are served as images with destination links; our current direct-banner feature does not add its own cross-site tracking pixel. Clicking a banner takes you to the advertiser’s website, which has separate practices.
When AdSense is enabled, Google and participating third-party advertising vendors may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve, personalize, measure, and protect ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show ads based on those visits. These providers may receive device, browser, and network information.
You can manage Google personalized advertising through Google’s My Ad Center and learn about third-party advertising choices through aboutads.info/choices. Browser cookie controls provide additional choices. These tools do not necessarily stop all ads or all data processing. Contact support@johnyslist.com for advertising privacy requests. Accepting the Terms or creating an account is not consent to optional advertising cookies. Ad controls offered by third parties do not remove our obligations under applicable privacy law.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information according to its purpose, account and listing activity, support needs, fraud prevention, disputes, legal holds, and applicable accounting or legal requirements. Removing a listing from public display is not the same as erasing every database record, message, backup, or payment reference. Some copies remain with recipients and providers.
You may request deletion at support@johnyslist.com. We evaluate what can be deleted or de-identified and what must be retained, and explain applicable exceptions. Retention periods vary by record type and the needs described above; we do not promise immediate erasure from backups or third-party systems. An email relay address expiring or being blocked stops forwarding but does not itself erase its records. Contact us for information about the records associated with your account.
8. Your choices and requests
You can edit profile and listing information and remove your listings from public view through the account tools. For account closure, a copy of your information, correction, deletion, portability, or privacy/advertising concerns, email support@johnyslist.com from your account email where possible. Tell us what you are requesting; do not send identification documents unless specifically needed through an appropriate process.
Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, withdraw optional consent, or opt out of specified advertising disclosures. We will verify requests proportionately, respond within legally required periods, and explain any lawful limitation. You may contact the competent regulator. This notice does not claim that every jurisdiction’s privacy law applies to every user.
Where applicable, you may use an authorized agent; we may request proof of authorization and proportionate identity verification. We do not penalize you for exercising protected privacy rights. If a request is denied, reply to support asking for review or appeal and include the request reference. You may also complain to the relevant regulator without first using our support process.
For California residents to whom the CCPA applies, rights may include knowing categories and specific pieces of information, deletion, correction, and opting out of sale or sharing. The collection, purposes, recipient categories and retention criteria appear in this notice. We do not offer private messages or account records for sale. Google advertising, if enabled, may constitute sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16. Contact support for applicable rights requests; this notice does not assert that every statutory threshold applies to this business.
9. Security and processing locations
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on email authentication forms to help prevent automated registrations and abuse. Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP address, browser and device signals to perform these security checks.
We use access controls and other measures designed to protect information, but no service or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your credentials and report suspected compromise promptly. Security incidents will be assessed and notified as required by applicable law.
Our providers may process information outside your island, territory, or country, including in the United States. Privacy laws in processing locations may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we must use those safeguards; using this site does not waive your mandatory privacy rights.
10. Children and eligibility
The marketplace is intended for adults with legal capacity under the Terms and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support@johnyslist.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion when required.
11. Other websites
Links to sellers, advertisers, payment services, and other websites lead to services we do not control. Review their policies before providing information. Third-party content or images may involve requests to another provider, which receives ordinary network and device information associated with those requests.
12. Updates and contact
We will update the notice date when practices change and provide additional notice or seek consent when required. A revised notice does not retroactively authorize an incompatible use of previously collected information. Contact SINTELIUM, at support@johnyslist.com or through the site’s Contact page.
